Crying so hard I can barely breathe…
I went to update info on my AirBnB account this morning, including my updated ID since I changed my name after getting married. I thought I was doing the right thing.
Well apparently uploading a new ID CANCELLED my honeymoon reservation (which is stupid, stupid, stupid!), and somebody booked it before I could get it corrected with AirBnb, in spite of instantly messaging and calling.
I am beyond devastated…
And now there is nothing available even remotely close or nice, especially that accepts a pet (Cinder was going with us). I don’t know how I’m even going to tell Joe when he gets up. ðŸ˜
Not to mention they said it would be 5-15 days to get my refund, which I will need to rebook anything anyway. And Joe has already put in for his time off work. I just can’t believe this…
I think every person using AirBnB, especially Brides to Be who change their name, should be fully aware of this glitch. I told them I would be taking to my social media accounts and possibly contacting the news. I don’t want anyone to experience this devastation.
I have no idea what we are going to do… I just hope Joe still loves me after this.
It was bad enough that last year I sacrificed immediately going on our honeymoon, because of work. That sacrifice was so appreciated with me being the recipient of a layoff this year from that same company.
I’m so done 2020. So done.
